Frequently Asked Questions ★

  • First, take a deep breath and check out my portfolio to get a feel for the kind of photos I create. (And maybe peek at the blog for some extra inspiration!) When you’re ready to book, just email me! Sessions fill up quickly, especially on weekends, so the sooner you reach out the better.

  • While I will always strive to capture some looking-at-the-camera-smiling photos, I’m all about capturing real, unposed moments. The joy, the love, and yes, the chaos. I want your photos to tell the story of who you are, not just how you look. Forget about stiff poses or forced smiles, let’s just have fun, relax, and create something beautiful that feels like you. My poses are more about gentle guidance. I will tell you if I see something that looks off or awkward. I will also follow your kid around while they explore and play, because forcing them to sit still the entire time is rarely a recipe for success.

  • I believe everyone is beautiful just as they are, and my editing reflects that. My goal is to enhance your natural beauty, not change it. I don’t alter body shapes or make drastic changes, and I avoid fixing wrinkles or clothing stains unless it’s something like a dirt or grass stain that happened during the session. I’m happy to remove scratches, bruises, and minor blemishes, because let’s face it, those are temporary and kids get bumps and bruises all the time! I use a little bit of skin smoothing (making sure to keep it looking natural) and focus on artistic enhancements to make each image shine. Ultimately, my aim is to capture you as you are. Real, beautiful, and authentic.

  • The most important thing is that you feel like you! I want everyone to be comfortable and confident, so there’s no need to overthink it. I am not the photographer who’s going to send you a fifteen page “What to Wear” guide before your session. I do recommend avoiding t-shirts with words on them (just because they can be a bit distracting in photos) and staying away from everyone-wearing-the-same-white-shirt look (it tends to feel a little outdated). But if you want more guidance or ideas, I’m here to help, just let me know what you’re envisioning, and we’ll figure it out together!

  • For the little ones, I’d recommend bringing a change of clothes, just in case they take a spill or get a little messy during the fun! Maybe bring a snack or water to keep the energy up (and keep things quick and mess-free). If your kiddo has a favorite lovey or toy, feel free to bring it along for a little comfort. I’m open to any props you want to bring, just let me know ahead of time. And if you might need to bribe with treats for a smile (no judgment, we’ve all been there), you can pack those, too!

  • Ah, the joys of Northeast Ohio weather! While cloudy skies can actually be ok for photos (unless that golden hour glow is a non-negotiable for you), rain means we’ll need to reschedule. I’ll keep an eye on the forecast, and if it’s looking like rain on the day of your session, I’ll reach out to you to find a new time that works. We’ll make sure to capture your photos when the weather’s on our side!

  • I totally get it, kids have their off days, and babies can be cranky no matter what you do. I’m here for all of it. I’m patient, understanding, and nonjudgmental, and I want you to feel comfortable knowing that your child’s behavior is totally okay with me. I don’t correct or discipline kids, that’s your role as parents or caregivers, but I’m happy to help redirect, make things light and fun, and create a relaxed space for everyone. Whether you have a neurodivergent child or one who’s just having a rough day, I will be kind, compassionate, and flexible to meet your child where they’re at. The goal is to capture your family as authentically as possible, and that includes moments of chaos and calm alike. We’ll take it at a pace that works for you, and I always strive to create an stress-free experience.

  • Nope! I’m happy to travel within the Northeast Ohio area, and that includes places like Cleveland, Akron, Canton, and all those lovely suburbs. We’ll talk about the perfect location for your session when we book!

  • Just give me at least 24 hours notice and we'll find a new date. I'm flexible and easy to work with, I promise.

If something's on your mind that wasn't covered above, just reach out. Shoot me an email and let's figure it out.
